My first real Jeep. I found it the way it sits in a barn parked for the last 8 years. The previous owner was having trouble making it run with an Edelbrock 650 carb and a Weiand intake and lost interest. After purchasing it for the unbelievable price of $500 I brought a brand new Holley 390 over along with a new battery, oil and filter, fresh fuel, and the tools needed for the work. About an hour and a half later I started it up and drove it home 28 miles! Ran fantastic. Only had one issue on the trip home. The throttle cable popped off. Quick fix and made it home. This pic is the same day after a bunch of soap and elbow grease. Needless to say, I am in love. Lots of little things to fix but a very solid rust free platform to start with. Now I understand what they mean when they say "It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand."
