Will 02-06 window regulators work in an 06-07

Sick and tired of replacing the window regulator clip over and over and over. I don’t read any problems with the 02-06 but the 06-07 are TERRIBLE. If I replace the entire assembly, the regulator motor and everything with it, would a 02-06 fit into an 06-07 door?

You could try going to a website like rock auto and seeing if the part number for the different year models are the same. Good luck.

I have a 2004. I stripped the regulators out of a 2005 and 2006 model at the junkyard. They were crappier than the ones in my '04. Yes, the window regulators from an earlier KJ will fit any other KJ. Just get the whole assembly though. Motor, track, and slider. I have tried to fix individual parts on KJ regulator assemblies, and it doesn't work. They are either completely broke, or completely working. It's one of those throwaway items. Buy the complete assembly from Rockatuo. It's about $40 per window. Don't even try to pull from the junkyard for a window regulator. There is a company that makes some kind of metal bracket thingy to fix some issues with the KJ windows.

Do you have the link for the metal regulator mount?

They used to be made by Steiger, but you can find knock-off ones on ebay. At least in the past. These days most KJ stuff is not produced anymore.

Clips don't go bad! All old Jeeps with power windows have problems. Go to AM-Autoparts.com. Buy the entire assembly for $35 and never think about it again.15 minute install. 10 year warranty and no hassle returns. They don't even want you to return the parts. I replaced them in the GF's Liberty, my XJ and all other Jeeps.

I’m a a pro at replacing the clips, they definitely go bad, I’ve replaced 8. It’s a bad design, the part where the coil goes in is too thin and it snaps off.
