Transmission in limp mode

I've got a 2002 Liberty Sport 4WD with the 3.7l. JUST inherited it from my mother-in-law. It drove fine for 500 miles (has 123k miles on it) then went into limp mode. Threw a PO733 and PO374 code. I'm going to try replacing the transmission input and output speed sensors first.

My question is, I read somewhere else about the "valve body side plate popping off". Something that can be accessed by taking the tranny pan cover off. What is this valve body side plate? What do I look for? I can't find any info on it. Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: I replaced the input and output speed sensors today. No luck. I cleared the codes, drove around and got them again. Anyone have anything on the "valve body side plate" for me??

codes are p0733 and maybe p0734?
tell us - did you use a scanner or key on off trick..

Scanning will show ALL codes esp important with trans issues.

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
When I see the quality of aftermarket I think OEM.

Yes, I used a scanner. Got P0733 and P0734. I'm thinking its the accumulator plate cover? Seems to be a common problem that throws those codes.

there were NO other codes - trouble tree asks about mentions other codes to start. Checking fluid also but I would think that is a given.
