No Oil Baffle in my 2007. Do I need it?

So I just read the thread about the oil baffle in the filler neck and I realized that I do not have one on my 07 Liberty. I run Castrol Syntec Edge 5w30 and change every 3000 miles. My filler neck is spotless but I am wondering if I need to order and install the oil baffle. I have just under 60k miles on it. It gets babied and sees a lot of short trips as we also have a 2003 Sonata that gets driven the most.

I don't think the 07 has one. I thought they changed the location of the PCV in that year but not positive. Is your PCV located off of the fill tube of off of a breather at the rear or the head cover? The 07s were a transitional year.

No. I have one tube going from the right valve cover to my air cleaner and a tube on the left side (driver side) that goes to the intake manifold directly

I found it. Yup its way different. Its threaded into the valve cover. Now the question is should I change it. Its got just under 60k miles on the clocked.

I like to change mine every 15-20k but I have the cheap one on the oil fill tube and it often gets polluted before that interval. I'm planning on doing the reroute like Chrysler TSB'd for a few other vehicles with the 3.7 and 4.7. Then it will be much like yours.

I wonder if that contributed to the accounts of early engine failure.

Definitely accounts for a sludge issue which likely results in engine issues.
