Alright I finally got word it is a blown head gasket. Now I am torn between taking the $1500 I have and putting it down on another vehicle or do I spend the $1500 on headgasket work. Any thoughts out there? I have about 162K miles on the Liberty and I just paid this damned thing off 2 months ago. I hate a car payment like crazy........thanks
I had a guy check it with the tester that checks for vapors in the radiator fluid. It did not change color from blue to green or even yellow, so it looks like it may not be, but the thing is still running rough. Any thoughts??
Not sure. It's in the shop now. The thought was a head gasket until they check the vapors in the overflow reservoir. When that check out ok they are now looking at all of the sensors and particularly the wiring to the coils. Seems #6 is not furing
Well currently all is good except cyl 6, passenger side firewall. No compression so now looking at broken rocker arm or spring or valve job. Will know more soon.
I bought a jeep running on seven cylinders once. plan was to drive it strait to a shop and get a new motor, ended up driving it as the second car for a year, every gas station attendant would tell me that it sounds like it need oil.
