06 Lib. Rough idle/RPM jump, Flashing CEL

Had a friend take my 06 Liberty (93xxx) to town and they pulled back in and I noticed it was puttering.
They said they noticed the CEL come on and when they went to accelerate the RPMs would jump up and down, CEL started flashing and the Jeep felt like it was jerking. They were unsure if they would make it back and they coasted down the big hill before my house and said white coasting it was fine and the light went away. They ran to get pizza not even 10 minutes away, said the Jeep was fine on the way there
I turned it on and took it 1000ft down there road, was sputtering, jerking and RPMS were jumping with a flashing CEL. Turned around and the CEL turned to a solid light.
Went to AZ today and picked up a Throttle Position Sensor and some fuel cleaner. Replaced the sensor and turned her on. CEL Is still there, and sputtering in idle, seemed to get ever so slightly better after a few minutes running, but was still not running the same as before.

I’m waiting for someone to come who has a scanner to check the CEL. Was just seeing if anyone had any similar issues.

I did find a leak in the exhaust manifold and the hole is black around the edges and smells like eggs, I was thinking my One or both of my cats might be bad, but it was just a thought.

why did you change TPS ?

FYI flashing CEL is an attention getter these need attention ASAP.

Post ALL the codes you retrieve with scanner.

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
When I see the quality of aftermarket I think OEM.

Changed the TPS because every symptom listed I experienced, and was hopefully it was just a 30$ fix.
I don’t remember the exact code, but it was a misfire in cylinder 2.
New plug and coil and she’s running just as well as before.
Planning on doing the rest of the plugs tomorrow.
I guess the 100k tune up comes at 93,7xx 😁
