04 KJ Stalling When coming to a stop

Help! My jeep keeps stalling when I slow down for a stop (red light, stop sign, to park). It doesn't wait until I am at a complete stop, but rather around 700 rpm, which is a couple hundred higher than my normal idling rpm. But when I first start the car without driving it, it won't stall. The check engine light has been on for a while, with numerous misfire codes, some specific to a cylinder and one random. We changed the spark plugs yesterday and it is running a million times better, but today it is now doing the stalling thing. The check engine light is not on but because I couldnt restart it, I had to have it towed to the mechanic I use when I cant fix it myself. It needed a battery, which they changed. They also checked the coils because they got a misfire code still, even though the check engine light was not on. The coils were all fine. The recommended a guy to bring it to that is good with electrical stuff, but I thought I would consult some of you who may have seen this before?
