Jeep Information

I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 4.7 HO engine. The engine is toast. Main bearing are all shot. I tried repairing it but it is just beyond my capability right now. It needs the engine rebuilt. Should I spend the money ($2500 to $3000) for a reputable trusted engine shop to rebuild it completely, ensuring a long life, or just replace the jeep for something else in that price range and hope it’s better? My Jeep has some issues, but the transmission and body are in pretty good shape (not the rocker panels / rusty). It has the class 3 towing package as well. Interior is leather and is in good shape. Nothing is horribly broken, just the engine.
