4.7 Hydraulic Fan 2001 Grand Cherokee

Straight to the point. If your hydraulic fan is not working correctly or coming on when engine gets to temp check to make sure your AC is charged. The AC low pressure switch has something to do with the fan functioning correctly regardless if you are using the AC or not. I noticed the fan would not come on initially and when I turned on the AC the clutch did not engage and fan would still not come on. As soon as I charged the AC the fan started working like a champ wether or not I was using the AC. I also made sure that the fan solenoid was working prior by disconnecting the engine temperature sensor and the fan took off like an airplane. Hope this helps someone cuz this is my first Jeep and I almost drove it of a cliff cuz I couldn’t figure out the problem.
