New to me 1997 ZJ
Just got a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, withe the 4.0 inline 6. Got it with only 78,000 miles on it. Previous owners left it sitting for almost 10 years, suprisingly no extreme rust damage. Got it running with a new fuel pump. It started up with a little trouble, but sounded like it had a bad rod knock, ended up being no oil pressure. Got that fixed and, then when priming the oil pump we messed the timing up. Had a pro fix it as I was not certain I could get it right after messing it up once. Still had a rough idle, but noticeably better. About a week later i replaced the spark plug wires didnt help. So we just filled it up with high octane and seafoam, as well as all new brakes which we noticed locking up and dragging. Started running smooth, rpms fine, good oil pressure, good temp. All fine. However there is about 3 inches of play in the steering wheel. Wanders on the road, does not track straight. Any ideas on what could cause this?
