True... You do it first!!

I NEED to do this as mine is sitting in a 2.5 gallon bucket to avoid the water from getting in the cone filter, BUT I need to replace my going bad motor first!

^I'm not even sure it's possible because the xj's don't have the same cowl space as the TJ's, but I'm curious if there is a way to afix an airbox to the hood and put a series of louvers in that location to achieve the same affect. Flex hose could connect the air box to the manifold. hmmm...too much thought, not enough xj in my driveway.

Not to resurrect a super old thread, but does your intake cap wobble at all? I'm in the process of doing this mod to my YJ--and this is the king of hummer inlet write ups. I've seen the 'good' yj write up--I don't like his method and i don't think it looks good. The trick on the YJ is you aren't able to hide the flange, and i need a flange collar strong enough to support the intake. Any advice or tips on how to do accomplish that would be great, and more importantly any input you have on intake wobble--generally how secure is it? Thanks!

Yeah, while "back from the dead" is annoying, and the OP might not even be active on the forum to answer, it was a good read. Gave me some ideas for my planned cowl-relocation in the WJ.
