winch question

hey guys, i tried searching for this but wanted to double check

im gonna buy my brother a winch for his birthday and i cant figure out what mounting bracket i need to get with it... thinking about the Smittybilt XRC8 since he doesnt need a huge winch

here's a pic of his stock (i think) bumper:


im PRETTY sure it's an 06

i really appreciate any help you guys can give me

That one will work with the xrc8 winch and the stock bumper

I only ask cause it doesn't list it specifically

Yes. The rokman also has a slight raise on the plate to clear the winch mounting bolts in case he decides to upgrade his stock front bumper in the future. I found out the hard way by purchasing a flat plate. When I put a new bumper on it, I had to drill large holes in the top for the winch bolts to fit into. Worth the extra money IMO vs. a cheapo flat plate.

The XRC8 is just about identical to the Warn M8000, so it will work great.

I just got the Smittybilt one when I ordered mine from 4 wheel drive hardware. I think this is the one I have

respool your cable...in a pinch that cable could catch a bite of itself and snag, burning out your motor and/or causing the cable to seperate. It's dangerous to have a cable that has wound itself all over the place.
