weather stripping for half door

I have the Bestop tube door with the elements (sheet metal) covers. These doors are great. I use them in conjunction with a Bimini top. This is great for nearly all forms of rain except on the highway...

When traveling at highway speeds even the slightest rain comes in under the element door panel and sprays the inside of the windshield. It's funny until your the one driving.

This is easily stopped by putting something at the bottom inside of the door to stop the water like a towel. However this is not practical for long, 4 towels, every trip... no.

What I need is a good quality weather stripping. This is harder than you might first think. To be effective it needs to be over 1 inch thick and needs to actually stick. I have tried several and even used rubber cement to help hold, nothing works for long. need help and advice!
