Tow Hitch and Rear Clearance

Is it my imagination, or does a standard tow hitch on the rear bumper of my JK reduce the "exit angle" clearance? Does it matter?

Of course it reduces the angle. Anything lower than the bumper will reduce the departure angle.
It only matters if there's some reason you need that little extra angle. Won't make a bit of difference in the day to day life of 99.99% of people.

has not mattered on mine enough to remove and its 99% trail jeep. they do get beat up a bit IF you wheel that hard. I have seen them bashed about flat< driver was an idiot though.

i still use the tow receiver at times anyway.
