Watched in live stream. Our club had 2 members out there racing. one was in the 4800 class and was out shortly after starting with a bad radiator, the other was in the 4600 class, made it 43 miles despite breaking a track bar, 3 driveshafts, a tie rod and the transfer case shift switch. He finally tapped out around 5pm EST.

My opinion is the best and toughest off-road race in the world! an Italian acquaintance of mine attended the last edition and he too withdrew for a broken axle. this year he built a new ultra4, I think he will run to the next.
in a few months you will run the King of the mountain .... here in Italy! I hope I can go

Anybody who can finish that race (and finish on the podium) must be awesome! LOL! In complete honestly course this year was much harder than the year I ran. Great race.

From the race results, it's clear this year's KOH was very likely the toughest over. I didn't count the total number of entrants in each class but it looks like less than 20% even finished. By far the majority were DNF's.

Friends of mine in the 4600 class, Poor Boy Racing in their Cherokee, were doing great until the second lap when their transfer case exploded. That was very disappointing.

When you have a choice, buy American made.
