Hello all! A few weeks ago I picked up my first jeep, a 2015 wrangler. 4 door, rubicon with some nice aftermarket things already done.

I have been having a blast on some of the roads around here, but have run I to an issue. I call it fun tax.

Each time I've gotten her dirty (albeit only twice now) my right front speed sensor has gone out (scanned codes, abs and trac lights on...most annoying is no cruise!).

Just curious if there may be an underlying issue or perhaps just unlucky with the replacement part? Pretty simple to replace, and cheap (off amazon), but obviously a bit of a hassle.

Any tips/tricks are greatly appreciated! Has only been the right front, both times!

as you said not a bad job.
I would need the code to check for any TSB's - doubtful there are any but I'll take a look.

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
When I see the quality of aftermarket I think OEM.

If your just replacing the sensor and with a cheap amazon one at that, it is possible the bearing is in poor shape. A new unit bearing comes with a sensor already installed.

Curious why the bearing would wipe out a sensor? When I lifted the jeep up to remove the tire I didn't feel any play in the bearing. First sensor I pulled off didn't have any physical damage I could see.

I ordered another one off Amazon, this time it was 40$ and is supposedly OE/Mopar part. Will update after installation and see if there is anything else going on there.

oddly things that wore fast on a front axle. Ball joints for sure at only 20k< but many trails miles. near 10 years of trails and 40k on it same untie bearings on 35s for 5 years and 37 the last 5 years.

If its a mud issue well yea mud has more time cleaning then i would want to do. to play. i would rather break a axle then clean mud
