How much for this winch?

I am thinking about selling my Warn M8274 winch. How much would be a fair asking price?

New ones are selling on eBay at $1500 +, some stores have them new for $1000. The cheapest one used on eBay is $450-465 but in rough condition. Your's, best I can tell, seems to be in nice to great condition so I don't see why you couldn't price it from $500-800 pretty easy and get what you're asking. Warn sells them direct for over $2000.

This is me basing prices off of eBay I'm not sure what your local market has them going for however, just kind of giving what I think would be a good fair deal if it was me selling it.

How old is it and what condition is it in?

When you have a choice, buy American made.

There should be a data plate on it showing year, serial number, model, etc.

The top and doors on this vehicle are designed only for protection against the elements. Do not rely on the top and doors to contain occupants within the vehicle or to protect against injury during an accident. Wear seatbelts at all times.

It will only bring what the demand dictates. Is there a demand for used winches in your area? If not, you could be in for a disappointment. Buying used is risky and those who do so are usually very cheap. Expect to get hammered. Hope this cheers you up :-)

I have a guy who has asked me several yimes if I wanted to sell it. I just want to make he and myself a fair deal. Could'nt find a data plate, had three sets of numbers stamped on the top of the gear housing, I assume one of them must be a serial number. The numbers are listed as follows:

7585
11033
D15
