HID Headlights

Hey guys, i just bought my 2004 Jeep Rubicon 2 door, I bought the truck used and the original owner had put in a set of HID headlights as the low beams. Im not sure how hot the ones i currently have in burn but if I had to guess id say they burn at about 6000k.
Id like to replace the bulbs that are currently in there with ones that burn at 12000k ( the tempeture that burns purple ) but i don't want it to become to much of a hazard for other drivers on the road, and I don't know how the color of the beam would change how well I actually see the road in front of me. Just hoping to get some of your thoughts or experiences on this matter it would be greatly appreciated

You don't have a 2004 JK. Its a TJ, or LJ if bought an Unlimited.

Stay with the 6000K lights, spend the money for a high beam/low beam set.
The 6000K is the whitest brightest light

Actually 4300k will give you the the most light and be the whitest. Do not get any higher than 6k. And also as recommended get a high/low kit. Make sure you get the moving style not the hid low halogen hi.
