I"ve got one of the spark plug fillers also, and they do work, more trouble than the hose to the tires trick, but depending on how far you are from a service station ( I use "service" loosely, since Service STations quit giving service years ago!), anyway, the hose will get you out and back to Civi....

i was just at harbor freight tools, and thay have a system to use paintball tanks to run samll airtooks like nail guns. It's 45 bucks, but it's the perfect thing to use, just add a air chuck on a make quick disconnect and plug it in.

Simple assumptions
PV=MRT
Pressure*Volume=Mass*R*Temp
Since M R and T remain constant...
P1*V1=P2*V2

V1=70ci

Assume cylindrical tire
V2=pi(wheel R^2 - Rim R^2)*wheel width + volume of tank
=3.14(15.5^2-7.5^2)*10.5+70
V2=6140ci

So to find the volume that tank would fill from 0-30 psi

4500PSI*70ci=30psi*volume ==> Volume= 10500ci

10500/6140 = 1.7 tires from 0 to 30 psi.

Probably money spent better elsewhere.

All the above comments say at worst you will die, and at best you should spend money to regulate that tank. You only have 31" tires. Go spend that regulator money on a simple electric air compressor and move on. Save the paintball tank for paintball.

+1. an electric pump from pepboys is what a friend of mine uses and it works just fine. i use an old SCBA tank since i got it free. all i had to do was use a wielding regulator modded to fit the tank.
