Brake is getting very hot

While driving home my Jeep (2001 grand Cherokee limited 4.0) started shaking and wobbling really badly. After opening my window I could feel the heat coming from my front driver side tire and the smell of brakes.
After waiting 15 minutes to let my brakes cool down I drove home and by the time I got home, it started smoking.

So I'm pretty sure the driver side brake was stuck. I took my tire off and after a little fight with the caliper I got it off. When I made the picture below I pumped the brake a few times and am wondering why the right side piston isn't coming out?

Also, I'm kinda afraid to just replace the caliper since it was at the most 2 years old. (and I probably only drove 5000 miles with this caliper at the most).

Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on or what I should try to replace besides the caliper? Or is there any way to fix a caliper?
I've heard that brake hoses can go bad too? I just don't want to replace a caliper and have the same problem again soon. (this Jeep is always having brake problems and it's driving me nuts)

replace caliper and brake flex hose, bleed and bleed again.

Gotta ask - the ABS light is not on and there is no codes ?

I know money is always an issue - how is other side looking?
Thinking 2 loaded calipers 2 brake hoses and a bleed - but not my call.

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
When I see the quality of aftermarket I think OEM.
