body repair basic instruction
Hi - I was wondering if anybody could recommend a book or website that would go over the basics of body repair. On my cherokee there is a lot of trail damage that I would like to fix. Dents, door alignment, bumper alignment, etc. I'm not looking for the "getting it pretty" aspects just the "repairing the damage" aspects. I feel pretty confident with the mechanical side of my Jeeps (especially with the help here on the forum) and I have the repair manual for reference. But when it comes to body repair I'm lost, never having ever did any. Thanks...
Experience is the best teacher imo. But google DIY auto body repair and there are countless websites that help amateurs learn the basics. About 5 years ago I got into it as a hobby and I'm just about done with my 2nd full paint job. Sold a Civic in February for $1150 when I got the car for free and spent 3 months on it and eventually painted it. Only took about $400 in supplies but a lot of time.
