Way to tighten side mirrors

Is there a way to tighten the side mirrors on my TJ? Not where they attach to the body, but the mirrors themselves? they will not stay in place. I am constantly having to readjust them. And if they move while I'm trying there isn't anything I can do until I stop.

Look at the bottom of the mirror above the arm. there is a screw or two that you might be able to tighten to secure the ball and socket joint. The screws may be hidden by the rubber gaiter. Hopefully the joints haven't got so worn that you can tighten up the mirror some.

Thank you! I checked the screws and they are as tight as they can be. I guess the ball/socket has worn. Maybe I can rig a shim of some sort to stick up in there....
