Suggestions for door jamb paint

I've had ongoing issues with paint coming off the edge of my door jamb and I've tried everything -- well two things -- to try and keep paint on there. The paint/clear coat pens don't last very long and I even put some POR-15 to see if a "harder" paint will stay on. While the POR-15 lasted the longest at a few months, the paint/clear coat pen lasts a few weeks at best.

Any suggestions from the collective as to paint that won't come off? I know that an edge that comes into contact with shoes is a tall order but I figured someone else has had the issue and may have an idea.

What about touching it up, then putting the 3m film over it?

I've never had a scuff or chip there; that's weird?

Not really sure what I am looking at or what vehicle this is, maybe the '15 JK is says in your profile (?), but my first thought is maybe bedliner.

WeatherTech makes these for door jambs, you could touch it up the best you can and then put this on there: https://www.weathertech.com/scratch-protection/
