Soft top question

Hi all, I just bought a 2018 JL unlimited sport and the soft top doesn’t lay flat, is this normal? There is probably about 3 or 4 inches between the body and the top on the inside. This doesn’t look the same as most of the similar models I’ve compared it to, could it be warped or is this just how they are on the new models?

The new model JLs tops are different from JK and older models. They do sit higher and the framework is completely different to make it much easier to fold the top down than it was previously.

As Kruzin says, it's normal with new models, no need to worry.
