Price: $1,000.00
Pros: Quiet!!, strong
Cons: Hinge rusted
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Overall excellent. The tire carrier hinge seized up at one point but I was able to get it free - now instead of the gate swiveling on the pin, the pin swivels in the mount along with the gate.

Pros: Looked nice freshly installed
Cons: Very weak and poor design of the tire carrier (improved) latch mechanism.
Recommended? No

Comments: I bought the Body Armor 5295 tire carrier and the 2395 rear bumper just under a month ago for my JK and took it out this past weekend for the first time. Nothing crazy...just took my son camping. Literally less than 2 minutes on the trail to the camp site I made a left turn and the frail pin that the latching mechanism latches to snapped off and the tire carrier flew open and ripped the bump stop half way off the bumper. I literally could have killed someone if there were people close. The whole assembly is now completely ruined...THE FIRST TIME I TOOK IT OUT...WITH MY 6 YEAR OLD!!! I had to take the tire off and throw it in the back of my Jeep and the rest of the trip the carrier was being held to the bumper with 550 cord. When I got out to see what happened I noticed where the bump stop was half way ripped off that there is significant rust underneath the powder coating. I am so pissed off words can't explain. I'm still a big fan of their other products but I have no idea what I'm going to do about this. They are some good guys over there at Body Armor...even gave me a little tour of their facility. I hope Morris 4x4 or Body Armor will make this right. If anyone else has had any similar situation please let me know what you did and the outcome. Thanks!

Price: $900.00
Pros: There is no kill like overkill. The set-up for carrying jerry cans, jack and spare tire is efficient.
Cons: The tire carrier pin can work its way out. The carrier wobbles around a lot. The carrier locking clasp is very weak, and prone to breaking.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: The bumper itself is very impressive. However, the carrier is flawed. I would recommend this product only with the caviat that it will need some modifications.

Comments: Fit was tight, finish is nice. Tire carrier adjustable to accomadate jerry cans if you carry them. No rattles or other noises. I installed it myself, alone.

Price: $700.00
Pros: Very good price, no taxes, no shipping. Simple design.
Cons: None that I can see so far. Not particularly fond of the tire carrier latching mechanism.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: $700, easy install, simple design, keep the spare tire secure, protects the rear of jeep. Much better deal than $1000, $1200, or $1500+ people are paying for rear bumper and tire carrier.

Price: $400.00
Pros: Heavy duty - versatile. Holds hi-lift, 2 cans, spare tire, 2 d-rings and has a mount for an antenna.
Cons: Weighs a ton. Will crush a gas can if the latch is not properly adjusted and you force it. Has a trailer hitch mount - but does not have an official(factory) tow rating.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Bought it used - but like new. Great bumper - I also have the triple tube front bumper and side rock bars - had to add a lift to get back to stock height after adding all that weight!!!

Price: $700.00
Pros: Easy to install and seems like fairly good quality for a fair price
Cons: Needs careful adjustment to avoid rattling
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I just added this item when going to a 35" tire. The unit seems well built, keeps the tire close to the vehicle. Two others in our riding group have the Body Armor bumpers and tire carriers and seem very happy with them. They are less money than some of the bigger and heavier rear bumpers, but it is my opinion that some of these behemoths are overbuilt and weight too much.
