Hey Bro, good to see you back on! Cool Jeep I was checking out the stats on that when it was first announced. I still have my LJ, bought a Rockjock 60 for the front right before Covid and its sitting at a friends shop. Look forward to seeing what you do with the Rubi and like the list!

Well, when will you be slinging the 60 under the LJ?

Yeah...you know me...

Don't even get me started on the "modern day Jeep owner." I see more tack'd out JK's and JL's in my area than I care to admit, and the junk is starting to even trickle down to TJ's. I saw one JK and one JL yesterday, both of them bone stock except for some awful Discount Tire-special wheels and an angry eye grill...for God's sake, why couldn't you just leave it stock? I know, I know....their Jeep, their money, blah blah blah. I don't get it and I won't pretend to.

Since Covid all three of his shops are slammed, he lets me use a bay to work on my jeep but they are over whelmed with work. The reality is this winter unfortunately, I have a long list of stuff to get done but having the bigger brakes and ring gear will be peace of mind with my 37's and long distance runs to Utah/Colorado. I hear you on the JK's, there are so many here on the west coast its insane. Many with huge tires and stock drivetrain but you know what? They all have a HiLift mounted on the hood or driver side door so they must be serious

Whoooa.. blast from the past on this one. I was mJUSTINm with the Bruised LJ build. Now building a '94 ZJ. I started a build thread but forums don’t get as much traffic anymore, and Facebook Groups are full of *******es.

Life changed a lot here also! 2 Jeeps later, after selling the LJ, and I'm now married with a 4 month old.

Well boys,

We're averaging 32mpg with the new Jeep and it's still rising.

Mine, too.

In case you all forgot what it looks like in all its glory:

It's nice to finally confidence in the axles knowing that they'll hold up. I don't have time to wheel much anymore but when I do, I don't like taking it easy. The Jeep can handle that with zero issues now while getting me there and back in comfort. I made it up the wall on my third attempt.....no videos or pics, unfortunately. I hit up a couple others that were frighteningly steep and climbed right up. It's safe to say the axles, suspension and steering will remain the way they are because I just have no complaints.

The bad.....I pulled it into the garage after a nice drive home and went to back it out about an hour later and the fuel pump wasn't getting any power. I swapped the relay with the horn relay just to double check....no dice. Did my fuel pump really get me home and then die? Any ideas before I get the multimeter out and start going down that fun path? My low beams keep intermittently going out, as well (both at the same time). I've checked everything that's obvious there, as well. I ****ing hate wiring.

Man, it's crazy to think how long ago I started this thread. I was 23 years old, had barely ever turned a wrench on a car and ended up building one hell of a TJ over a ~9 year period. I'm 35 with two kids and a wife now.

Old. I feel old.
I'm not far behind you, I'm 32 now and I got my TJ and joined this forum in 2007 at 18. I followed your build from the beginning and the stance when it was first setup on 35's was what I hoped to get mine to when I was younger. I watched a lot of people dump thousands into their jeeps over the years just to sell them for the same price as a stock Jeep when the wheeling near me doesn't really need more than 33's.

Happy to have it as a 3rd vehicle now so when I want to eventually do a major tear down and build I can, but at the same time I can still hop in it for a quick wheeling trip or throw it on a trailer and wheel it for a week in Moab as it sits with little issue.
