my first build could use help 1995 jeep wrangler

So about 8 months ago i spent every dime in my savings to buy a 1995 jeep wrangler, 2.5l 4 banger, stock worn out suspension, stock tires, stock wheels, paint fading on the hood, rust all over the undercage(not deep rust just surface)
So this summer i start an internship and will be making pretty decent money and all of it is going to go to my jeep. Work all week and build all weekend. there is a lot i want to do and i dont have a whole lot of experience.

As far as the lift goes. It's the first thing I wanna do. I will have money but not crazy amounts so I'm looking at either the RC 2.5 and maybe a 1 inch body or the RC 4 inch. I'm worried that the 2.5 kit will need (break line extensions potman arm extension and transfer drop kit which it does not come with, but I'm also worried that if I get the 4 inch it will look bad with only 31 tires. And it's my DD so I don't wanna go over 31 and it lose all it's power. Suggestions and comments would be appreciated

Well for starters you could always save that money for an engine upgrade and just do a spring over for starters. My future DD in ny garage will run 33s with a base spring over and a possible 1" body lift. But even going up to a 4.0 HO will show a difference in that jeep. Not to mention you can find decent ones on cl in older cherokees pretty cheap. And keep an eye out for an ax15 trans attached to that 4.0 and go from there. I wouldn't worry much about the lifting before I got all the power I wanyed, and just go basics. Sort the rust, check on a new drive train, upgrade the front and rears with spring over set up already and then worry over lifts.

A proper Spring Over is going to cost more than a 4" "kit". SOA generally gives around 5" of lift on stock springs. You would need to change steering accordingly, brake lines and SYE/ CV driveshaft. If you are wanting to keep it small I would suggest some quality 2-2.5" springs (OME, BDS).

Nice looking YJ!

Probably gonna go with the 2.5 lift. And seriously thinking about painting it blue and doing. Full new black interior. It needs new seats and carpet anyway

I would change the engine. Only problem I have is that everything I do to the jeep has to be done one weekend at a time. It's the only vehicle I have to get to work with. I'm not good enough to do an engine swap in that short amount of time

so i just bought a hardtop on craigs list. now my next step will be to buy a rear bumper and tire carrier. i would much prefer to buy a tire carrier that opens with the tailgate. maybe somehting that mounts to the brackets that hold up the tailgate? and a new back bumper with d rings and a hitch. any suggestions? and i would like to keep it on the lower side of the money spending too

just got a new front bumper!!!! i bought the tuff stuff front winch bumper from ebay. ebay wouldnt let me pay for it so i called truck and winch and they let me order it from them for the 215 price i got it at on ebay. so it just came in yesterday and i got it halfway installed. heres my review of it. its made of 3/16 steel so thats good. whats not so good is they completly welded the front grinded it down and painted it. but they did not completly weld the back of the plates. not a problem if your not going to put it through serious abuse. or if u have a welder and dont mind finishing the back of the bumper up. it was pretty heavy. i say around 60 lb. which is good, heavy duty but not super heavy on the jeep. now for the mounting. it has tabs that go on the top of the fram and the bottom. and 6 bolts. that screw directly into factory threaded holes on the frame. it is a ***** the put the new bolts into 17 year old threaded holes. and the tabs need work. mine are about a quarter inch too wide so i have to grind down the outside of the tab and the holes for the bolts. but all and all for 200 bucks i cant complain much. plus it might be my jeep frame that is messed up not the tabs. but who knows.
