Meet Komodo.. Eandrews' 1985 CJ7

This is not a complete build but plenty of new parts and TLC. I did a full introduction a while back and figured I would start a build thread so folks could follow the progress. So far it has been a fun one. The Jeep was inspected front to back and cleared any safety issues with shocks, brakes, etc... I hired a local electrical guru to completely rewire 90% of the harness. I've been able to do the rest of the work myself. I changed out the steering wheel and added a horn, pulled the old torn belts and seats out, replaced the thermostat when I flushed the radiator and changed the upper/lower hoses as well as the hoses for the heater core. Installed a full soft top and soft doors, this was a fun job because the previous owner had hammered down the top of the windshield so I had to work it back up 1/4" by 1/4" until I got it perfectly straight for the channel to line up. Yesterday I did the weber carb and timing on the HEI style distributor which made it a whole new ride! Pics of the work so far and more updates to come soon.

Took off the straight slash exhaust that would literally set off a car alarm and installed a nice Y stock style exhaust. They ran it high to stay away from any clearance issues I would have off road. Next is the heater core replacement, after driving it a few days and using the heater in the a.m. I have some coolant in the passenger floor board seeping.
