LJ Resurrection

Well long story short, I spent the last 2 years building a 2008 twin turbo corvette. With the local track shutting down and living in Nebraska I got a good 4 month window to drive it I just couldn't justify it anymore. It was a hard decision but I knew I wanted to build a jeep and someone really wanted it so I let it go. Now onto the fun part, I searched for awhile trying to find a decently build LJ or even a TJ. I found a few TJ's I liked but ultimately I knew I wanted an LJ. But with the crazy prices of LJ's I started looking at other options, then I came across Daveys jeeps. He had one that looked like a good starting point. 2004 unlimited, bent front axle, broken wheel, broken oil pan, busted tcase. So started the 28 hour round trip to get.
Pictures should be in order. Leaving town at 4am friday morning, at daveys jeeps 10am saturday morning, back home 2am sunday morning, in the garage (dog approved), front axle tore out, front axle back in, new tcase in and moving under its own power by the next weekend! Iv got some pretty big plans for this rig, so stay tuned!

Found out it has cool color changing rock lights The tcase was pretty busted up, also need to source a new drive shaft or look into getting it rebuilt. And a picture of the vette, quite the change of vehicles.

Got some more stuff in the works, I luckily have the ability to design and manufacture about anything you can think of at work. Drew up some Rock sliders and corner guards. Full length rockers and the corners are cut out for a 40" tire and stretched back 4"

Nothing too exciting going on yet. Mounted the Hi-Lift jack and put on a new rear bumper. Also picked up a set of TMR rear 4 link and front 3 link brackets.

Did alittle testing on my buddies RTI ramp, needless to say im pretty disappointed.. The jeep came with aftermarket control arms that have poly bushings, after talking to a few members it seems thats my limiting factor. Since I already have everything for my 4 link I think im going to make some new control arms and just buy new tube inserts when I do my long arms this winter..
