The old suspension of the jeep was disassembled and one of the blades used to make the top part of my engine mount. I had to put it in my press to give it the right shape.

There are a few small rust marks that begin to appear on the frame. As the temperature here is exeptionally hot for the season, I decided to give a coat of paint.

That looks great Ben, but what prompted you to redo the mount?

When I made the first bracket the engine and the transmission was far too angular. The rubber that holds the transmission would have broken in the long run.

If I look at an engine installed on a frame it is at the same level. I want to keep as much as possible the jeep parts in their original position so it will not affect the driving.

My engine has the same specification as this one.: Warp 11

For what I know, it should have a power similar to the engine I had. V8 304

Thanks for taking the time to document your build. I've personally been enjoying reading it. When you posted the pic of fitting the electric motor into the chassis, it reminded me of a pic from a 1/6th scale Willys that I built years ago. Here's the pic. It was odd to me to see similarities between a 1/6th scale toy and a 1:1 Jeep.
