Dana20 to Dana44

Hey does anyone know what cars or trucks to look for ( junkyard ) for a Dana44 that would be a good swap for my 79 CJ5.. my dana20 is 51 wide 5/5 Thanks

Don't think you're going to find anything that narrow. An AMC 20 is just as strong as a D44. Get one piece shafts and weld the tubes to center section full circumference and you're good. Maybe a decent truss if you want. The R&P on the 20s are actually stronger than a D44.
