Are you going with the sticky treps, or are you going to daily drive this?

Finally did a little Jeep work, but not really. Lol

After some very minor trimming on the Tamiya yj body, I've got an RC juggy.

The last pic is the remains of the body.

Actually, “little Jeep” work is exactly what you did.

That’s really, really cool. Now we need to see some wheelin’ videos.

My wife said it looked weird. I agreed and trimmed just a bit more. Gotta find some paint and get that going. I need another piece of aluminum to replace the roof too.

Red, the only thing weird about it is the square headlights...

I’ll say it again, that thing is really cool.

You might not want to say it, but your wife was right.

So for anyone following along, just wanted to drop a quick status update. I've been jumping through all the hoops and finally got confirmation yesterday that my MRI shows my disk is blown again. One of those times I wish I wasn't right, but the pain isn't going away and the imaging proves what I've suspected.

The good news is I have a path forward, but it's another surgery so big red and I will be out of commission for a while. I've opted for the fusion this time as I suspect the less invasive discectomy will just result in another failure down the road. I'm anticipating 6-12 months before the fusion is complete (vertebrae grown together) and strong enough to get back to my rougher activities, but I'm going to take it easy and do whatever the doctor wants to give myself the best chance at a positive outcome.

Good times ahead. I'm going to get this scheduled asap so I can start healing.

The good news is that there is a clear path forward. Best of luck. I'm sure it will be a long 6-12.

Sorry to hear that, Red, but it sounds like you have identified the best path forward for you. We will be thinking about you. Amazing the things that life pulls out of the woodwork.

Oh man that stinks.
I’m feeling your pain. Literally.
I elected not to have surgery after a 1999 L3/L4 issue cuz I couldn’t afford the recovery time. Once I quit chiropractor after seeing my MRI shots, in the two months waiting to see the surgeon I improved. I’ve been blessed with mobility, had feeling return in my right leg, and have been fairly active for twenty years. The last month has been hell though.

Hopefully you get in sooner than later and your recovery is faster than expected!
