AzDevilYJ's build thread... finally

While looking at the spin on filter kit, I did come across this... do you know if this is included with what I got, or is it a seperate add on? EDIT: it looks like it does come with the kit I purchased thankfully

I was going to say there is a filter in the one you got, but you already figured that out.

I ended up hacking my bracket up to flip it around so my reservoir was on the other side of the master.

I should have ditched the hood support as the bottom of my grille is welded to the frame now. Though not sure if I had room over there either.

Thatís nice work! If I had thought it out a bit more before purchasing I probably would have gone that route lol. It was a little impulsive at the time

Got the pump and resi installed. Iím gonna stop at the speed shop on my way home and get a 45į fitting. The kit comes with one straight, one 90į, and I donít like the way the hose gets routed with the 90.

Got everything installed. It was pretty simple. Now Iím going to flush and fill with the swepco 715 stuff psc recommends.

I donít know if itís the cause, but I used Lucas universal PS fluid on the last couple pumps and it looks like it got cooked pretty good by the color of it. Id never used it before, so I donít know if not using the gm recommended stuff was part of the culprit.

FWIW I was having nothing but problems with power steering fluid once I went hydro assist. A couple friends recommended that I should run ATF with some lucas power steering stop leak. All my issues went away once I switched.

But if I had PSC parts, I would run the swepco stuff they recommend

Congratulations on the baby, sucks about the bracket. FWIW I went ACDelco fluid over swepco because I can source it easier if I need more especially out wheeling.
