That quiklatch is really cool! I didn’t even know they existed.

The stud for the air cleaner on my TBI has 2 - bends in it, since the hole it threads into is not centered. I wonder if they make with those bends, or if I need to modify one.

I’m always worried about losing the wing nut, and this is a great looking fix! Definitely going to pick one up

Junkyard alternator upgrade! Iíve been doing some reading about how different model vehicles with the Chevy small black had different alternators, albeit different brackets. I have a 105 amp cs130 alternator which is an upgrade from the older sbc, but with the e fan, sniper, lights, and blah blah itís been putting stress on the system.

I came across people using the 140amp cs144 alternator, I found this one in a 1999 gmc savanna conversion van. Itís substantially larger, and as opposed to upgrading my current one, the cs144 holds except current with lots of draw at idle.

When you upgrade smaller alternators to higher amperage, it only tends to help out at high rpm, not idle.

Only mod I had to do was wallow out the bracket hole a little.

The old 4.5 caddy intake should fit your throttle body. That's what I have on my Howell. Should be easy to find at the junkyard.
