Cathedral port as in the new gen Vortecs? These Vortecs Iím using are 96-99 5.7 sbc heads. They flow worlds better than the tbi heads. The heads and intake should be good for a 60-70hp bump and better overall driveability. The tbi ran out of breath at like 3500-4000 rpm, and these are good up to 5,500 which will be nice on the highway with 5.38s lol

Did you have to change the injectors with the head swap? I really have no clue how that works, just curious since I upgraded mine from spider to multi-port injection.

Nope, just the head swap. Only thing I needed was a conversion intake manifold bc the mounting surface and bolt holes are different.

Rolled the Jeep out to get some sunshine, do some work, and clean up my garage. Everythingís together except the oil dipstick and fuel lines to the back of the throttle body. New fitting should be here Monday

Nice mount! Elk hunting has always been something I want to do, living in Illinois I get some great whitetail action but no elk. I have a 9 on my wall from last season, would of been 10 if he hasn’t broken his G2.

I Really like your YJ, makes me wish I had my driving. I’m going through your posts trying to see if you have any info on your throttle bracket? I have a 93 5.7 TBI and can’t figure out what type of bracket and where to mount it in my YJ. Any pics or suggestions you have would be great!

I’ll keep reading through your posts, awesome off-roading pics!

Thanks!

Iíll look back and see if I can find the part number. With the stock tbi motor I was using the stock bracket, but when I swapped the Vortec heads and edelbrocj intake I picked up the edelbrock throttle mount bracket 8032? I would stay stock if you can.

Big update!

The Jeep is alive finally as of today!!!! Long road this crap has been.

Also welded me up a hitch for the rear for a multi purpose recovery point as well.

Brake upgrade going in tomorrow, and then we can get the Jeep out on the highway and really test it out.

I will be using a 2002 dodge 2500 master cylinder to push the big *** one ton brakes.
