Thanks mate!

There are going to be some changes to the original plan.I'm moving more towards a safari theme for this jeep.

I'm currently debating an Chevy v8 engine or a more daring VW v8 diesel. I'm also hoping that gr8top change their minds about shipping their Safari top.

Overall, it should be fun.

Thanks mate, I can't get the wrenching out of my system for long.

I can only work on the weekends right now as I need to load and unload my tools. and It is a painful process. I'm looking for a garage space to rent, this will make the project move much faster.

Damn, that's quite the improvement. I can only hope mine cleans up that well lol. How do you like the hiline kit?

Also, have you worked out any more what engine you want to swap in?

I'm sure yours will end up being much better than mine. Especially with that Awsome 4bt up front!

I can't work much on it, it really sucks. I guess I have to respray it again once I get the soft top installed and the interior cleaned.

Regarding the engine, it is almost finalized. I'm going with Mercedes-Benz OM642 Diesel engine and an NAG1 transmission.

But I'm very far from the engine swap. My priority is to get the car running and usable again.

Now, If only Quadratec would be kind enough and deliver my order.

oh and the choice for the transmission and engine is because they bolt up to each other and they bolt up to a Jeep transfer case.

Furthermore, Both the engine and Transmission have an aftermarket standalone ECU and TCM units.

If you need help shipping it over to Abu Dhabi, I would be glad to help. I have a contact at Pentagon Freight here in Houston through work. They have offices here in Houston and Abu Dhabi, so they would be working with themselves (that seems to help a lot when doing international freight). Actually, they could probably arrange pick up of the top from gr8tops. They have done that for us many times in the past.
Let me know if I can help. Send me a pm.
