2006 jeep grand cherokee tire fitment

Hello. i have a 2006 jeep grand cherokee laredo and i am looking to do some upgrades to it. i have purchased a rough country suspension/leveling kit. the recommended size tire for this kit is 265/70r17. but i recently reached out to a mechanic in my area over the phone and he said i could fit a 285/70r17 with a 17x9 wheel with a 0 offset. i am looking to give my jeep a more aggressive stance/poke. can you guys give me your opinions on whats the best setup i could run to achieve this look? i would like to run the biggest tire i can get with a nice poke to it to give it a nice look.

285/70r17 will look better.

Stick with the 265/70R17 they give you a clean look and nice ride. If you go bigger your ride will suffer (and your CVs)
