Price: $1,000.00
Pros: Low profile doesn't block cooling, series wound motor, planetary gearbox. Very well engineered and built with readily available support and service pretty much anywhere in N. America in the unlikely event you should damage it.
Cons: None IMO except the price is much higher in Canadian market than in the US, especially with the current 80 cent Canadian dollar, price I paid was for M8000S with synthetic rope. Synthetic rope added about $300 over SS rope.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: American made, not suspect overseas product. Series wound motor, synthetic rope, hawse fairlead. Easy installation, simple operation, good line speed in & out. Warn dependability. 8000 lb. single line pull. For most applications where a front license plate is required an additional bracket will have to be purchased or fabricated. There are several good products available to place the front plate over the hawse fairlead when travelling and flip up or be over the fairlead when the winch is to be used.

Price: $550.00
Pros: Very strong. Just about all you need out of a winch.
Cons: I kind of wish I had synthetic line because its more flexible and the steel cable is a bit stiff and heavy. the Steel cable is stronger though so not completely a con.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This winch is awesome! I put it on with a metalcloak bumper and got the Jeep stuck on purpose and it pulled it right out of the mud! Excellent product. This is all anyone needs out of a winch.

Price: $300.00
Pros: Durable, reliable, American made. Replacement parts available for rebuild.
Cons: Haven't found any yet.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I got this Warn winch used off Craigslist. It was in working order but it would not spool out with the remote. After looking it over I found out the PO didn't wire the solenoids up correctly. They are the original solenoids from Warn and once I rewired it correctly it worked like a champ. When I plan on rebuilding this winch I'm going to order replacement parts and repaint it.

Price: $300.00
Pros: Reliable, Unbeatable Overall Value, Not too heavy, not too bulky... All you need
Cons: Mounting of solenoid box, Quick enough line speed, could be better
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I have done multiple pulls with this winch in a variety of situations, it has been underwater and mud covered; nothing but reliable service. Line speed is acceptable. I have bogged it down a few times, could have just been my stock 7 year old battery letting it down. Really, it is all you need in a winch.

Price: $600.00
Pros: Great price for an entry level warn winch.
Cons: the cable that came with it was not the best.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I would save up alittle more and by a warn rather than buy some of the other winches that are on the market. 8,000 lbs. and a snach block will get you out of all most any thing. plenty of power.
