Jk IPF Reverse Light Not Working

Today I wired up an IPF Reverse Light 8161, on my 2015 JKU Rubicon but the light does not work at all. When I put the three way position switch in the ON position the green light on the switch lights up. If I put it in the second ON position the green light on top of the switch will light up when I shift into reverse. The actual reverse light never turns on though.

I checked the voltage at the plug on the light and I’m getting 12.6V after I fixed a grounding issue. I also double checked the inline fuses and they are good.

Any ideas on what I could check next or what the problem may be?

Thanks

If you're getting power at the light and it's not illuminating, the problem is in the light...whether it's faulty wiring, a defective connector, or just a blown bulb.
Test the light socket for voltage. If you're getting it there, it's just a bad bulb.

Thanks for the reply Kruzin. I went back out and measured at the light and I was getting 8-9V. So I cut a piece of wire and touched the ground to a known good chassis ground and it lit up. After that I redid the ground wire where I had it attached on my swing away tire carrier. A bad ground will get you every time. But itís working now as it should. Time to start figuring out the next mod.
