Instrument lights GAS & Battery

I notice on my 2014 Wrangler Sahara that there is no lights for my GAS & Battery gauges when driving during the day. At night with the head lights on the gas and battery light up fine. It's just during the day the gas & battery gauges are hard to see during the day. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Hey EarlBalentine,
Are you referring to when you initially start up the vehicle?

Yes when I start it up during the day only the speedometer and RPM gauges light up. My alternator & gas gauges don't, makes it hard to see them when driving. I have to drive with my head lights on all the times just to light up the instrument panel to see my gas and alternator gauges. Poor design I think.
