Unfortunately privacy concerns prohibit me posting my call. I’m a licensed tech. Mostly using 2m/70cm. Due to the hobby dying I’ve recently been drawn to theVOIP side of things with the new rigs coming out which utilize smart phones integrated into a radio. Once I get my interior together in my Jeep it will be a hammy paradise with my Yaesu 7800, pretty Cobra 11 meter, and my incoming Anysecu 4G.

New member from Squamish, BC - have had my ham licence for quite a few years as I used to use it in my old 4x4 club where most of us had ham radios. Had an Icom 2200 in the truck but sold that a few years back and now just have a hand held. Call sign is VA7WST

Just joined this forum. I'm an extra class operator. Been 'radio active' since 1989.

Currently run an Icom-7000 with a Tarheel 75A HF antenna in my vehicle.

Home station includes a Mosley Pro67b, 7 element, 40-10 meters rotatable antenna on a 75 foot tower. Yaesu FTDX-3000d, Acom 1000 (1kW amplifier), Icom-7300, Yaesu FT-1000MP MK5 and many other rigs.

I've been very active on 20 and 40 meter bands. Mostly DX-ing but enjoy a contest once in a while. I don't like digital modes. Only operate CW (Morse Code) and Phone on HF bands.

Glad to see many other hams on this forum!

73!

Nice bench. General since 1978, never incentive hop to extra. Additional bandwidth is minimal but u get cool 1x2 call signs. Someday...need to retire first. HF bands are in the trash, waiting for an up tick. Remember fondly late 70 s early 80s and omg, work the world on 15 and 20. Here in Nevada was a desired WAS station, happy times sorting out mini pile ups. Lol. Now a-days, not so much.
