OEM FOBs - good? Bad?

Have been eyeing the OEM FOBs (I need at least one more) but the market feels sketchy.

Can anyone relate their experience with the aftermarket FOBs or FOBs from a locksmith or any non dealer FOBs?

The WK2 can be picky about FOBs, especially if you have passive entry. OEM FOBs seem to provide more reliability.

I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory;
