Your coolant sensor is (probably) not bad. This is a well known issue with a solder joint in the VIC. Search and you will find write-ups on how to repair. Its a PITA. I just deal with mine..

Found this for you.

meh... i just replaced the coolant reservoir with a new one and the error went away, it was surprisingly cheap from the dealer, i think only like $20 for the entire reservoir with the sensor built in

I have be getting a coolant sensor error on my Vic, It is intermittent . this is different then the coolant low level error that the Vic will display if the level is low. Now which one are you guy talking about . sound like half are referring to the level and the other half the temp sensor.

There are two different sensors , one in the reservoir and one on the coolant hose from the radiator. correct?

Mine never started till a little after I replace my Radiator, (Long Story) I am wondering If mine is the actual sensor like I though or the Vic solider Joint.
