What shocks are on there now?

EDIT: If you've still got it when I re-do my suspension in a few months, you're welcome to my front MX-6s (the rears are too long for you, I think).

Interesting. I've got stock rears and Monro-Matic. Fronts. They actually control the Jeep quite well and never any bounce and the ride is fine but I think with the soft springs it likes to nose dive a bit more on the highway over some of the larger bumps and dips than I'm used to with OMEs and Bilsteins and it bothers me. I'm pretty picky about that.

Part of that is just how WJs ride stock, but the front MX6s should be the right length and you can stiffen them up a bit if desired.

Update... Absolutely nothing. I should put gas in it today and that's about it haha. Brakes are still awesome, getting towards the end of their break-in period. Interior needs to be cleaned actually that'll happen. I like it to smell like carpet shampoo and leather, yummy chemcals is that bad? Also long term review of 303, used it end of July, the dashboard still looks awesome and dust wipes right off. Does not leave greasy overly shiny look like armor all does.

With the Akebonos done at 60k, and me just doing the rears completely over, the brake system feels brand new. The cooling system was redone almost entirely and has about 10k on it. I used a Mishimoto radiator which seems to be of the best quality plastic tanked ones you can get that's all working fine and I've never seen it cross 205ish even in heavy traffic with AC. The steering has all those new MOOG tie rod parts, new ball joints, new pump, new high pressure line, its behaving like its new and gets... More stable the faster I go on the highway?

Tires and alignment are still next on the list but they're freaking expensive even for all seasons.

Oh yeah, I have no intention of holding on to it long term. Over the summer I could have taken a lot less for it and gone car-less while I made up the difference financially but now having put all the money into repairs and soon tires I can't take a lowball for it or I won't be able to afford a 330. I'm looking at about 9-10 for a 330 and I need to get at least half of that out of my Jeep for this to work. So for it to happen before 2014 the stars will have to line up. Once I've saved enough I might even just do a trade in if the interest in my WJ isn't good enough. And if I was approved for a loan or had a consigner you better believe I would have already had my new car.

Just questioning the logic of spending $800 on tires and alignment for a car that is for sale. That isn't a sound investment (unless you are at legally-mandated levels of tire wear).

I agree completely with you, but with the introduction of weather cracking the car may not pass state inspection. Were that the case the car could immediately come back at me under lemon-aid law in my state. To avoid that I'd have to sell as-is condition even then there may be a loophole against me. Don't want to risk having to buy my Jeep back after spending all my money on a BMW.

I thought lemon laws only applied to dealers?

Yeah that's what I thought but I read up on it. You're pretty hooked up as a buyer in MA at least. Lemon law makes dealers offer 90 day warranty, private parties have to disclose any drivability issues they know of and that's 30 day protection on that. Lemon-aid law means if the car can't pass inspection and repairs to fix it cost more than 10% of what you paid for the car, you can turn it back on the driver within 7 days or so I think it is?

Idk I'm not trying to hide any actual issues with the car, which is why I'm continuing to fix stuff on my Jeep as I go. The rear calipers were worn out and had weak hardware that wouldn't hold the pad really tight. They could have been reused in theory but when you're that far into a job why cheap out and reuse the old worn out parts. Will I say the stock suspensions too soft, or that I don't think it has enough power on the highway? No because those aren't problems, they're just the reasons why I'm not driving the right car.

Guess you are boned. Tell you what. I'll send you my stockish sized Silent Armors in great shape if you buy me some 31" Duratracs. You were going to drop the coin anyway, right?

Seems legit :P. I'm probably still looking at a set of Destination LE2s. Good price point and one of the better all seasons money can buy. I'd look at all terrains but I think they're overkill for this Jeep's fate.

Screw it, super swampers Rednecks will buy it in a heartbeat (and totally ignore anything that's wrong).

Checked the oil today. I'm just a hair under the full dot, right where I left it 4000 miles ago. Oil looks clean, smells clean. Jeep is happy.
