Well got the new to me bumper on the other day and have a Tuffy flip-up hawes license plate mount on order to comply with the local state plate laws.

Next up is getting some fog light extension cables that I can hack up to make use of the factory harness to the ProComp lights that came with the bumper. For some reason I'm having a difficult time locating the connector type/number though.

Contemplating whether or not I want to trim the fenders now or wait until I'm at the stage to Monstaline it.

The Tuffy license plate mount for the new bumper just got delivered. Gonna slap this puppy on after work today and snap a couple to a few photos after.

Got the license plate mount installed today. It turned out better than I thought it would. Just not too many places in this bumper to mount one.

I hate the laws that require a front plate, doesn't make sense .

Me too, New York State requires a front plate, but I've been driving around without one for 3-4 years. Protofab front winch bumper doesn't really have anywhere to mount a front plate..

Builds:

Did the ZJ washer resivoir swap this evening, went fairly smooth. Most difficult part was cutting the hard lines right the first time for the sensor.

Ordered up my ARB 2000 Awning and brackets today, got a heck of a deal from 4WD where the cost of the awning and 3 brackets was close to the cost of the awning at most other retailers I checked out. Wish I had to dough and reasoning to drop the money on the Deluxe 2500 version but the 2000 is a great awning, one of my friends runs it on their 4-Runner.

The ARB awnings are really nice, i've got the 2000 too and I picked up the room for camping in too. I used the original cross bars, just drilled them out & sandwiched 2 pieces of 1/8" aluminum under the bracket. The length of the 2000 fits our WJ's perfect.

Nice. That was my plan for mounting on the cross bars as well. I figured I'd a good investment for just about any day out with the jeep. Your's looks good by the way!

Got my awning and firestik antenna on yesterday. Looks great, but more of a hassle to setup the awning than I thought it would be but I'm still getting the hang of it. Walls to follow in the spring most likely.

Headed out to Spring Creek NV to help my brother out with a halo lighting effect for his new fireplace this weekend.

Managed to to do a quick wire up on the CB radio and an old Uniden radio I had laying around yesterday. The plan is to buy a Cobra C 75 WX ST to save on space in the future.

I80 is a pretty good truck route and a long venture to the bro's place, so this will be the PE's first longer road trip since the lift. I'm hoping I can pickup some good trucker and bunny ranch banter on the way

Thanks and for sure! I see you're in Greenville, if you ever make you way out towards Plumas or Sierra County for a run let me know. I may be interested in some group meet ups in your area as well. Beautiful country. Good luck with the JKU!
