transmission hunting

I've got a 97 zj , 4.0 < 200k . Transmission has started hunting in and out of overdrive at the slightest incline. Fluid is all relatively fresh( its has a small pan gasket leak:-) filter not sure the age, but it was replaced at least once in its life. Where would be a good place to start looking in this one ? Thanks.

thoughts -

Brake light switch.
TPS.

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
When I see the quality of aftermarket I think OEM.

interesting. TPS is fresh within a month. But brake light switch is one I certainly wouldn't have considered.

why did you change TPS? might be a clue.

it was having some idle issues lacking any codes. I started replacing. It has new TPS, IAC, CPS, O2 sensors, distributor sensor and ignition coil. Along with fresh plugs, wires, cap and rotor. The temp sensor was fresh right before I got the thing about 5 months ago, connection on it might be questionable. Other than that it was well maintained by previous owner.
