Lots of DTC's

Hi Folks,

I'm new here; (new) girlfriend purchased(!) a used 06' Liberty with the MIL lamp lit; the DTC's are:

P0105; boost pressure sensor circuit
P1140; EGR throttle control
P010; MAS circuit performance
P1001; Ignition key-off timer performance, too fast
P0564; F/C multi-FX input 1 circuit plausibility
P0589; F/C multi-FX input 2 circuit plausibility

Now this grouping to me looks like PCM communications issue, as opposed to all of the individual DTC's actually being faulty. Like a major connector was disengaged prior to a start-up.

Any thoughts/comments?

I should also add the vehicle drives fine, but she has experienced a severe lack of power a few times. As if the engine was going to stall, depressing the accelerator further does nothing, then the vehicle will suddenly begin to operate normally.

Any thoughts?

The MAS code stands out to me.. Write down the codes, then clear them and take it for a drive. Check the codes to see which ones come back up first.. Culprits will show their heads early..

It does run fine...95% of the time :^)

Problem is, an aftermarket OBDII scanner will not bring up the DTC's, only a dealer-based STARscan will reach this code level.

Given she purchased the vehicle from a Volkswagon dealership, it had to be taken to a Chrysler dealership just to access the data. Now they want(!) $160/hr, 2Hrs minimum, to ascertain why(!) these codes are present.

The VW dealership are attemtping to wash their hands, I'm helping her hold their feet to the fire...as they agreed to address the MIL issue as part of the sale. They claimed "their" scanner was not working at time-of-sale, so she drove away with the vehicle on the premise they would address the issue at a later date.

Find a mechanic that has the Genysis scanner.. Be sure he has the latest software updates.. A Genysis will usually read a mopar..

Based on other Dodge products I am familiar with, some DTC's are not accessable to any devices other than StarSCAN or StarMOBILE...
