Looking to upgrade my alternator

I have an 04 WJ with the 4.0I6 my regulator for the alternator just went out and I am looking to go up on power output so I don't have the "dancing" lights I have been. I have read that I can replace it with the alternator for the 05 Durango with the 4.7l v8. Problem is I don't know which one to get. and what issues will arise from using a bigger alternator.
Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you!

You'll probably have to upgrade to heavier wiring.

Start reading up on the big three.
From there you're going to learn about fusible links, mega fuses Etc.
Also start searching the forum for threads, there's more to it than just putting on a larger alternator.
Take the time to research this and do it once and correctly.
