Jeep refuses to go into gear

Okay, so recently I have blew my rear on my '95 yj 4.0 I6. Since then I have replaced the rear and now the jeep refuses to go into gear in 2wd. However, it does go into gear in both 4 low and high. When its in 4wheel drive only the front wheels are being spun though. I have searched all over the forums and have found similar posts but none exact. Any help is appreciated.

Put it in gear in 2 high and see if the rear driveline is turning.
If it is, then you have an issue with the rear end.

I know the rear is frozen. I took the rear drive shaft off and still won't go into gear

Are you saying the rear output from the t case isn't rotating when 2 high?

Sounds like the transfer case rear output shaft is sheared.
