How to tell if fan clutch is a "Reverse" one?

Aside from relying on part numbers (which I don't always trust), is there any way to tell whether a fan clutch is actually a "Reverse" one?

Also, just confirming, if my Jeep needs a Counterclockwise/Reverse water pump, it needs a Reverse fan clutch too, right?

Thanks in advance.

yes you need a reverse rotation fan clutch also. if you take the fan clutch off and look at the spring, the reverse rotation, the spring will be wound counter clockwise
